With the arrival of the urea reactor of Hengam Petrochemical Company in the Pars Special Economic Zone—despite tough international sanctions—the final stage before the operational launch of this key unit has officially begun

According to the public relations office of Hengam Petrochemical Company, installation of this advanced reactor—which faced numerous challenges during its transportation to Iran—will soon commence at the site

The acting director of Hengam Petrochemical Company stated: In a year designated for investment in production, the commissioning of the urea reactor marks a major milestone in Iran’s petrochemical industry. This development will directly boost domestic production and support the agricultural sector’s market demand. The project aligns with the country’s development plans and resistance economy policies

Rahman Mansourian emphasized the significance of urea production in agriculture and the nation’s urgent need for domestic manufacturing of this product. He noted that the reactor represents one of the world’s most advanced technologies and has now been successfully imported into the country

He added: With the installation and commissioning of this reactor, Iran will be able to meet its domestic needs, contribute to job creation and regional economic growth, and play a crucial role in global food security by increasing its share of urea exports
